        Re: girl scout cookies

That is commendable. I had a hard time passing up the girl scouts sitting out in front of the grocery store yesterday. Those stupid thin minutes. They are from the devil, I swear. I too resisted.

To those who resisted the evil lure of the Girl Scout cookies, I applaud you. That is a feat of epic proportions!

Now, keep your fingers crossed for me, please. There will be three, yes THREE, different kinds of Girl Scout cookies in my home before long. One flavor for every member of the family except me.

Oh, and jicama is God's reward for those who resist such things as GS cookies.

                  Re: girl scout cookies

Luckily this year the girl scouts were only camped outside one door at my grocery store, so I avoided the whole situation. What I've found myself doing in the past is saying "oh, it's for a good cause, I'll give them to (insert ficticious person here)" and then inevitabally eating whatever it is myself. The past few times tho, I've just been donating money, but not accepting any product. That way I don't feel like an evil lady squashing the dreams of America's youth, but at the same time not adding more girl scout cookies to the one's trapped in my thighs from years gone past.

( my favorite are the chocolate, caramel, and coconut ones )

Excellent job resisting. Emagine how hard it is for me because I am a girl scout leader and when I picked up the cookes monday my living room was full of them. I am still resisting the urge to try one (2nd week induction) although everyone around me is eating away.
