  • seeking Kiddie pool

Summer time is coming and I have two water boys. I want to get them a medium sized hard plastic pool. I remember having a specific one when I was growing up my mother would often buy (5 kids it was bound to take a beating every year). It was dark green plastic, resembled I think what was a turtle or maybe a frog, and it had a slide built inside it with stairs to climb so you never had to get out or get grass or dirt on your feet. I thought we went to Toys R us to purchase but I am having a hard time finding anything similar to this now days. Any ideas? I have been searching online and don't really see what I am looking for, It seems now days everything is inflatable or has a climbable slide outside the pool. Walmart right now only seems to be carrying the tiny plain hard plastic ones for about 10 dollars, my two boys would be fighting for space.

    Thanks in advance!

The only ones I could find were the inflatable ones, or the ones with the walls that fall over easily... or, like you said, the really small ones.

We got a good sized one at Toys R Us. It's about 7'x5' hard plastic with a built in slide, was about $30 (I think). It still might be a little early in the year for that, wait another month and they'll probably have them. Plus you could always ask the store manager.

We had one when I was a kid. Hopefully jroche is right and more places will have kiddie pools in stock in another month or so.

I don't think they were at the ToysRUs last year *or* the year before, at least near me.... I remember hunting them and coming home disappointed.
