    Re: Pet Peeves

Overweight people that judge people that weigh more than them. What is that about? It's like sure I'm fat but they are fatter so they are disgusting.

Makes no sense because they get upset easy if a skinny person makes a remark about them.

I work in a pub. The smoke gets on my chest something chronic. I suppose I can be thankful that I only work one day a week in the said public house.

I'm an ex smoker too Sadie. I guess I fall into the "anti ex smoker" category. I do love the smell of freshly lit cigarettes though.

I work in bars too - well I'm the bar manager at a local theatre, i made the bar area no smoking, but people are welcome to smoke in the lounges, theres nothing worse than people trying to get your attention by blowing smoke in your face!

                        Re: Pet Peeves

I've been exposed to 2nd hand smoke from birth until I quit working at a bar when I 25. Doctors don't believe me when I tell them I don't smoke, never was a smoker, well except the less than 20 cig's I smoked when I used to party. I mean 20 in my lifetime. I love the smoking ban in public places here in Florida.

OK, now for a pet peeve. People around the office are constantly walking around with their head hanging down, reading or typing on their blackberrys. I swear there are gonna be a whole generation of folks with neck problems from the stupid things. Also, I hate text messages. If you want to talk to me, don't send me a text message that says "wut r u doin?". Just pick up the dang phone and call me.

I hate that too. It's bad enough if you're with one person, and they're on the phone, but what about when they're are 3 or 4 of you, and one person is on the phone, chatting it up like they can't take the phone call another time. Are the rest of us supposed to sit quietly so they can have their telephone conversation? I love when the person on the phone gets snappy because you're talking too loud and they can't carry on their phone conversation while they're having dinner with you!

there is an actual affliction now called 'blackberry thumb' from typing on them.

That reminded me, i hate when i'm talking to a coworker on the phone, and i can tell they are typing and not listening to me.

I also hate when people are using blackberry's in meetings and not paying attention.

Oh and not only am i former smoker, but i'm also a former blackberry user LOL. the company that makes them RIM gave us beta ones to use at our company when they first came out. I got every new one that came out after that. I finally gave it up last year . was almost has hard as giving up smoking.

Me too Sadie, I love the smell of it and love to get a whiff of it now and again (ex-smoker too.) I hated the smell in my hair also. Now my hair smells good and I love to smell it! lol

My pet peeve are those phones people wear in their ear constantly...blue tooths... my son has one. They'll be walking along talking away and you can't see the ear with the phone in it and you think they're talking to you! Or I've seen them talking to "themselves" or so I've thought, and think wow... what a nut!
