  • Prince Harry not to go to Iraq

Unconfirmed report on the BBC: Prince Harry not to go to Iraq.

The right decision, I think. The presence or absence of one junior officer will make no difference to his unit's contribution, but the presence of this junior officer would make it so much more dangerous for everyone else.

Atkins didn't say 'Calories don't count',
    he said, 'Don't count calories.'

I'm glad. I was deeply concerned for his safety. His heart might have been in it, but he was in real danger.

      Two factors:

      1. He personally would have born a greater risk that the others.

      2. By his very presence he would have increased the risk for those closest to him.

Good... This is the right decision, I think. There is no real practical advantage to his going, bar a show of "He's just the same as any other soldier"... which of course, he isn't. No sense in putting others (and him) in more danger than they already would/will be in.

Yes, I totally agree. Glad he's not going.
