Help, Help, Help, any Gardners in here?

Help, a rookie here and I need some gardening help on my pumkpin. I am testing a pumpkin in a pot as I dont have that much space, and this little devil is running like crazy, it also has small flowers. the pot is like 12 inches by 10inches or could be 12" x 12". Should I repot while it is running or leave it be? Also, are they prone to disease? If so which kind and how can I kill it without using pesticides`? I hope there are gardners in here.

not sure how your pumpkin will do in a pot. they are creeping plants by nature and like to spread their vines. the pumpkins will probably not fit too well once they start growing. if your plants start to get bugs they make something called seven dust and it is good to put on plants.
