  • DO you live in Texas

What are you doing to deal with all this rain. It has rained the last 18 of 21 days. The water is almost to the belly of my German Shepard in the back yard.

i have been watching it on the news hoping some of that rain would come to Arkansas. We finally got three inches this weekend.

I feel for you Texans Lauren, that is a lot of water. Fingers crossed that the ditches and rivers can hold it all.

I live in Dallas. We've had more rain this month than we had last year! But, we're not flooding much here in the city. The trinity river's flloding point was 30 feet. It was up to 39.1 last week! CRAZYNESS! STAY SAFE!!

I live near Fort Worth and it's really sad to see how many people are being flooded out of their homes in the surrounding counties. Where I live it hasn't been too bad. I'm tired of having muddy yard dogs, though! And I really need to mow before my 4th of July party for the family Friday night. We're still not sure if we'll be having fireworks because there's rain the forecast every day.

So is the weather getting worse, or am I imagining it?

Well, it's not really getting any better. Every day there are thunderstorms and showers forecast until next week. It's been raining almost every day for a month, I think!

I meant overall. Seems like the storms are getting worse everywhere. I don't ever remember so many bad storms as we've had the last few years. Not just in this country, but other parts of the world too.

FWIW we had a shed load of rain in June too. I know what you are thinking, the fact that we are in england and it always rains here. But the deluge of water here recently is even more than usual.

I have since re-gained a bit of weight, but that is soon to be coming off again!

A shed load, is a bastardised term for the word sh*t load, which translates to a lot. Come on don't you know ANYTHING :-p
