    British study concludes that diet of the poor no worse than average - but all could do better.

    Began Atkins March 04 at 260lb, reduced to 203lb by April 07 and maintained.

    Atkins makes exercise mandatory - I took up cycling - see last pics at 203lb.

    Pretty interesting.

    I personally ate garbage not necessarily because it was cheaper, but because I was lazy and addicted to the stuff.

    I think my grocery budget is actually less on Atkins because I eat out much less and have quit buying chips, cokes, cookies and candy.

    It comes down to: Is it important to me to eat healthy food?

    Seems like if there's money for cigarettes and alcohol that they should be able to buy healthy food.
