Moved to chit chat as not diet related.

It never ceases to amaze me of how easy and how effective this ***diet*** is!!
I have since re-gained a bit of weight, but that is soon to be coming off again!

Re: Minneapolis...Our Thoughts Are With You
Hi, Rich...thanks for cleaning up the forum.
As for being diet-related: A tragedy like the bridge collapse in Minneapolis could happen to any one of us at any time. We need to assess ourselves: Suppose you were one of those trapped...are you strong enough to climb out? Are you too big or too heavy for rescuers to carry? Do you have the cardio/respiratory endurance to survive for hours in a bad situation? Could you sprint away from a dangerous situation (like a gunman, an explosion, a falling building/bridge) and carry your children as you run? I think of these things everytime I hear of a tragedy.
I'm afraid that I, personally, would not be able to save myself (or my kids). At least not in my current condition. I'm not paranoid, but I do believe that I should be prepared for the worst. The Virginia Tech situation is one of the events that got me seriously thinking about getting my weight and health under control. I started back to college a few years ago, and after the VaTech event, I started assessing my situation. No way could I dive under a desk and hide (I can just barely SIT in the desk). Jump out a window and RUN? Nope. Definitely I needed a wake up call and got it. And that's one of the reasons I am here...trying to make some changes. I don't ever EXPECT anything horrible to happen to me or around me...but I want to be prepared in case it does.
