UK-ers Meet!

Hello all!

Some of us UK Atkineer's met today for a lunch and bowling (I told you I'd get home first!)

It was great to meet Elizellen, Emma, Jane and Richt in the flesh They are all as lovely and charming as they are on here. It was a bit surreal and random at first but a lot of fun.

For the bowling Richt was victorious - I was frankly rubbish...

Hopeful we'll have some photos on here soon and do it again sometime

All other photo's need to be "censored" by the people involved before posting.

It was a great day, and it was a real shame it had to come to an end. Ranging from the French restaurant where we had lunch, confusing the young french waitress who's english wasn't very good when asking such awkward questions as, "are the mushrooms in bread crumbs" and " we don't want fries with our meals, can we have veg instead" to the bowling.

A great day as I have already said, thoroughly enjoyed by all (i think i can safely say).

I cant believe you guys are home so early!! and heres me 1.35am just gettin in the door, and no doubt Jane will be another hour yet!!

I promised i'd place a piccie in my siggie, so i'll do that now! just cos its dorky and it makes me giggle!

You guys were great, not what i expected, better!! I dont think any pics can do yas justice!

Looks like you guys had a great time. I see a lot of smiles. It is good to see fellow adbbers getting together for a fun day out. Rich, I am glad you outbowled the women. We would have never heard the end of it if you had lost.

Totally love every photo...thanks for sharing them with us! They show how much fun you all have and how you enjoyed the time together.

Sounds like you all had a great time, and behaved yourselves like good Low Carbing folks at the resturant, although I'm hoping you all left that nice waitress a good tip

Totally Jealous! You guys look like you had a blast! If I make it to London this fall, can we go bowling too? I didn't know british people bowled! lol! I thought that was an american thing... see what I know! (daughter will be doing a study abroad thing)

I got home at 2.15am!!! lol

It was too late for me to turn my computer on last night and report in!! I just collapsed into bed!!! How I got up for work at 7am I'll never know!! I think an early bed tonight is called for!!! hehe!

I had a great time yesterday - as Alexa said, everyone is sooo nice!! And everyone looks really skinny too!! I think the camera must put at least 20lbs on us!! hehe! We all chatted from the minute we met, to the minute we all left each other!

I'm looking forward to the next meet!!

Brady - we even had a round of bowling "silly" ie left handed, sitting down, through our legs backwards! And Rich still won - so I think he secretly practices!!
