I'm So Scared

Well............im sitting here in the dark, in my basement, all alone......with my flashlight, candles & bottle of water . We have some terrible storms going on right now, actually the neighborhood fire departments tornado siren is going off, we have tornado watch for another hour and 15 minutes....thank god my laptop was charged or I would have had a panick attack by now. I hate, hate severe storms......

I like storms, but we never have them like that! Tornado, yikes! So is the drill everyone get in their basements? What if you don't have one?

I hope you're ok. Try and distract yourself - which I guess you are by being online.

yes, the drill is the warning to get into the basement. i thought everyone had them, but i guess not? i definately wouldnt want to live in those places!


they are saying on the radio (battery operated of course) that the storms have passed, in the surrounding counties but the siren is still going off. ooohhh, they also just said the roof of a local high school was ripped off. yeah, the news always makes sense......they are passed, but took a roof with them...

well that what they say, in another hour the tornado watch will expire (should anyway) and then the sirens should shut off, and its safe to come back out of the basement because the storms have passed. . . . . hopefully its only an hour and nothing happens to my house. I hate these days, when it storms and my fiance is on 2nd shift at work so im left all alone!!! drives me nuts.

yep the power is still out, im also hoping that it comes back on before my laptop runs out of power...lol....

So, how good was the adrenaline rush?

In Texas, we have crazy storms and it's hurricane like, but nothing ever happens. I really like the adrenaline rush you get when you think it will.

Glad you made it thru Krystle, I lived thru a tornado in 1984, I saw firsthand what one can do in a minutes time. Arkansas hasn't had many this year, usually we have ours in early spring. We have been lucky so far,knock on wood.
