  • Cute kid stories - please share yours

I just wanted to post a cute kid story about my son.

    His grandmother was making pancakes.
THe pancakes were big so she ripped one in half for my son. It ended up looking like a moon shaped. He was hungry and asked for the pancakes. She put the pancake on his plate and said ... look this one is the moon.

Her replied. I dont want the moon ... I want the sun and pointed at a full pancake.

    ;-)

When my granddaughter was three, she tried out some words she had heard that she shouldn't use. My dh said to her, "Grandpa doesn't like to hear those words. They are naughty words."

Later that day she was having trouble rolling down the windows in the car. She said to her grandpa "These naughty word windows won't roll down!"

Well I don't know if you will think this is cute but it cracked me and my friend up...
I was on the phone with my (EX) boyfriend and my friend came over with her little girls.
She asked who I was talking to and I covered the phone and said "Butthead". The older of the two girls said, "I want to talk to my dad next".............LOLOLOLOL...out of the mouth of babes.

My nephew (who was 5 at the time) got on the bus with his mum and grandma, and sat next to a little old lady.

At the time he had a real fasination with numbers, so he sat there and asked the lady how old she was - she giggled and said "I'm 86" , so my nephew shouted out really loudly "wow you're going to die soon"!! my sister in law said everyone on the bus just started to laugh including the little old lady, by my sister in law said she just wanted to crawl under the seat!! lol

I posted this in my journal this past weekend...

A funny on my youngest...she's so honest it hurts sometimes. We stopped at the Goodwill to see if there were any deals (there were, of course). We're getting out of the car and I remind youngest to hold the door so she doesn't ding the car next to us (I'm really thinking of my car, really).

Of course the young couple and their baby just got out of that car and started walking towards the store when Youngest says, "Yeah, it's already wrecked". Their car door was smashed in and held together with a shoe string. You'd think they had to climb out of their car like Bo and Luke Duke...with a baby no less. I had no words for the child except for her to just close the door and walk. Oldest slapped the kid on the back of the head like "what were you thinking". I should have scolded Oldest for doing that, but she was doing what I was thinking. And all Youngest could say was "What?".

After crawling into the store, I did manage to find a shirt and pants for a total of $6 and quickly paid for them before the young couple could spot me and my "honest Abe" kid.

When my nephew was 5 he was aggravating my sister (his mom) by repeatedly saying Mom, Mom, MOm, finally sister said "Mom's not here!" and he says "well, can I leave a message then?"

When my youngest daughter was 3 yrs old and my oldest was 10 yrs old, we went to a Christmas choir performance that my oldest was appearing in with her class.

My 3 yr old and I sat up in the balcony and when a student was making a little speech and said "Mary had a baby...."....my 3 yr old daughter yelled out..."Mary didn't have a baby, she had a little lamb".

My mom has a old reel type tape of me that she loves showing to any girl I have ever dated. I was about 4 years old and I am setting in the yard with my dog Poochie Bom Bom, I have a candy bar and a Yahoo Mountain Dew. Every time I took a bite or a drink I would let the dog drink from the bottle and eat from the candy bar. I have always wondered why she never stopped me. It seems like it took us ten minutes to finish it. You have to see it to appreciate it.

I am a hairdresser and the babysitter brought my kids to drop them off and there was an very dark african american gentlemen waitin(Background-small town not much diversity)and my son stood there staring for like 10 mins. I tried to get his attention but no way would he stop staring. All of the sudden he says "Do you have a penis?" I was soooo relieved, but the sitter was mortified and dragged him outside, and you could hear him still talking saying "I have a penis too but my daddy has a biiiiig penis and i have a little one....."

Re: Cute kid stories - please share yours

Last week, I was cooking and decided I needed an onion to chop up with my meat. I sent my two grandsons out to the garden and told them "Pick the biggest onion you can find". They were gone about 10 minutes and I figured as all boys are, they forgot somewhere between the backdoor and the garden. So, I was just getting ready to go out and pick one myself when the door flew open and they threw my prize corn stalk at me. Their chests were all puffed up, their eyes shining with pride smiling from ear to ear. I just stood there and couldn't believe my eyes.

They said, "That was the biggest one in the garden, grandma."

I said, "How on earth did you pull that out?" They said, "We used grandpa's shovel."

Well, when I quit laughing, I told them "Guys, this is a corn stalk not an onion, but I'm glad you picked it cause it was so big it was blocking the sun from the other plants." I told them I'd put it up against the back fence and let it dry out and use it to decorate for Halloween.

The boys are gone back home now, but every time I go outside, I get a chuckle when I see that big ol' corn stalk leaning against the fence. My husband makes jokes about how good the corn would have been if it had gotten a few more weeks to grow.

one of my hubby's boss' was telling this tale on his daughter.

Each night they had a family habit of praying for someone the daughter knew from school or a friend. So he's in there listening to her prayers and she says, "oh and god bless Amy 'cause she's black toast 'tolerant" He had to leave the room 'cause he was laughing.

Guess the girl in question was LACTOSE INTOLERANT!

We were at the zoo when my 4 yr old daughter exclaimed, "OOHHHH! A pretty chicken!!!" "Honey, that's not a chicken, that's a peacock," my husband said. "OOOHHHH! A pretty girl peacock!" I asked how she knew it was a girl peacock. She said, "Because it has flowers on its head!"

I finally owned up to my age and picked up a pair of reading glasses at the CVS last week. My 5 year old dd, who has to do everything I do, has been trying to wear them constantly.....So last night we are in the living room, I'm getting ready to read a few chapters of a book I've had a few weeks. She goes and gets a book out of her bedroom and beats me to my reading glasses. I say "give me my reading glasses", she says "No, I need them". I say "No, you don't give them back". Her "But mommy, I DO need them, I can't read".

                              Awesome thread!

My son was about 3 when our cat got hit by a car. We were wondering how to tell him and decided just to tell him the truth. His response? "Was it a big stretch limo?"
