When our *only child* daughter was about 3, she and I were riding in the car when she suddenly asked: "Mommy, why do people have more than 1 kid, don't they love the first one?"

I have two stories. The first is similar to Betty's above.

My son is seven going on 30. We were standing online at Target when a woman and her children walk by. My son looks and starts counting "one... two... three...four...five..." He then gets this funny expression on his face and shouts so the whole front of the store could hear "Five kids! Don't you think that's a bit much Mommy?!" I guess pretty much everyone except the lady he was speaking of agreed with him as all the checkout lines erupted in laughter

Last year shortly after starting 1st grade he came home from school and I asked him how his day was. He went on about this and that... A few minutes later he said "So and so got kicked in the publix today." We have a grocery store here called publix so that's what I assumed he meant, but it just didn't seem right that he was telling me someone was kicked in the grocery store. "So and so was kicked when he was at the grocery store?" I replied. "NO no.... Down there!" I couldn't help but laugh. He meant so and so was kicked in the privates, ROFL. You just had to be there as I can't tell the story as well.

I love kid stories!! This thread is hysterical and should be here forever--lol.

This past summer we spent the entire three months at home. DH is building a new business and we had a new baby so we needed to stay put. Needless to say we all started to grate on each others nerves, especially toward the end when triple digits kept up cooped up inside for days on end.

One particullarly bad day, my boys aged 9 and 7 couldn't get along no matter what I tried. In a moment of desperation I confined them both to a time out on the couch. One on one side and one on the other. They stayed quiet for a minute and then my 7 year old yells out,

"MOMMY, HE'S BREATHING MY OXYGEN!!"
