I was 18 and Tim was 21 - so that was in 1991!!

I worked with a girl that Tim's brother was dating, and she fixed it up!!! I used to drop her off after aerobics at Tims house, and he'd made a comment on if I was single!! so she set it up!!! I did take a friend with me though!!! lol

I met Ryan in a bar. Talk about cliche.

I went out with my girlfriends, which is something I did every weekend. Men never stand out to me in a dance club. . They just don't. But Ryan? I swear, it was like he was the only man in the place. I stood and watched him for about 10-15 minutes to figure out who he was there with (no one) and what he was doing (dog in heat? loner? people watching?). When I decided it was time for him to come talk to me, I walked past him, looked him up and down like he was a popsicle on a hot day, smiled at him and kept on walking.

The bugger kept me waiting about 10 minutes before he came over and asked me to dance. LOL

The rest, is history.

When I was 11 and Cecil was 13 he came over to my dad's house (I wasn't living there with my dad at the time) to put insulation under the house. I liked him from that time on. I of course chased him over the years and we didn't officially start dating until I was 16..almost 17 and then we got married when I was 18..3 months from being 19 and he was 20. Been together 19 years so far.

Dating service. Yea, I joined one as a friend had done that at a diff. one and met her hubby. She was doing this "new" places books (she was a bookkeeper) and said I'd probably like it better. Very cool place and a different idea. There were parties, outings with bunches of single folks and even demos by various members for their businesses (a psychic, a chocolatier, etc...)

I picked him and 6 others for a first meeting/date. He was the one who said yes of those 6 guys. Never got around to meeting anyone else 'cause we clicked right off. That was back in Jan 1991, he proposed by Oct 1991 and we got married in April 1993 so coming up on our 15 yr anniv. next year.

My dh and I met on a chat line. A telephone chat line. Neither of us had computers in our homes back then (97) and so chats were via telephone, we've been together ever since.

I met my wonderful husband in a bar as well. Twenty years ago. I was there with my best friend. We were checking him out...he's very handsome, but a typical farm boy, with the flannel shirt, blue jeans, and dekalb corn cap. I said to my best friend "That's the kind of guy who always goes for me", and sure enough 3 minutes later he came over and asked me to dance.
