Its one of those things that I always said I would treat myself to when I lost lots of weight. But never really got around to it.

how about "I used to weigh 260 lbs" and then you'd never be able to gain weight again,

Rich, whatever you choose, make sure it has real, true meaning and significance for you.
Cuz I'm here to tell you that trying to remove one you don't want anymore and feel was a mistake to get is a real pain in the butt.
But when they have true meaning for you - they're awesome!!

I really don't like tattoos but I would NEVER put a girl or guys name on.. My husband got two and I was pretty ticked at the time.. But they have grown on me..
He has a Buck it says CJ underneath it (MY son's name) and a Doe that says Brittany (my daughter)Comment

Yeah i agree, get something that deeply means something to you, i wouldnt recommend football signs (i regret mine) or stupid other things (again like mine)
i personally like tribally type things though, so hmm...
i dunno, maybe wait until you actually know what you want rather than just trying to pick something because you want a tattoo.

hehe, well, I'm of a different opinion. Knowing I am working on a full sleeve, take my advice with a grain of salt. Just get what you like. Regret is something we all feel about any one thing in our past, a tattoo is art. I agree strongly with Jane and Emma, tribal tattoos on men are HAWT.30/F/5'6"

How about trying a henna tatoo (isn't that the ink one that's not permanent?)with something you like and then when it wears off and you still want to go through the pain (torture), then get one....

Rich, I thought about getting a tattoo myself, about 7 years ago. Looking around at the tattoo's that other people had. I realised the way to make my body stand out, and be unique was not to get a tattoo.
Please note, that I can only talk about my experience, and my body. I accept that a lot of people are proud of their tattoos, and what they represent.
Echoing some of the comments already made, please double check you are sure about the reason why you want a tattoo. Then select a design, which you feel you'll not regret later.
Hindsight, unfortunately has perfect 20/20 vision.
However, I think you already know that.Hayden.

hey. i am not really into tattos....nothing personal but everyone here is SoCA has one but ME so i figure that makes me somewhat unique!!! ernie does not have one either but he always thought a rising phoenix would look kinda cool....phoenix rising has real significance in HIS life, so that is why he thought that one up...wonder if he will follow thru with it...Comment
