I was 3 or 4 & my family was traveling from Omaha to somewhere in Texas. It was Christmas time & we were going to visit friends of my parents...they were all in the military together. Anyway on the highway in Oklahoma my brothers & I spotted Santa Claus driving the car behind us. Mom thinking quickly said Santa was following us to make sure we were being good. Of course the rest of the trip we were angels!!!

My fearliest memory is when my neighbours ferret got out and came into our house and was under my cot -- I remember standing in my cot while my mother and the neighbour waved a raw steak in front of the ferret to try to get it out!!! I was 2 I think . my mother says I wouldnt be able to remember that far back . So i told her I remembered the awful pink and grey wallpaper they had in the house back then ( we moved when I was 2 1/2) NOw she believes me!

It was October, 1957 (I was not quite 2 and 1/2 years old). We were visiting my great-grandmother's (my maternal grandmother's mother). I remember sitting in the foyer on a couch next to one of my aunts (my grandmother's sister) while she made a doll for me.
