Portugal has some of the best weather, population, capita v. GDP, and facilities. I've often thought I'd like to retire to Portugal.

I like Japan, but I couldn't live here for ever.

However, I'd like to live in Northern Europe. Iceland or Norway, or Sweden. They always look so calm, and stress free places.

I'd like to live anywhere sunny, thas bad, but i get depressed when the weathers crappy.... somewhere like... Oz, NZ or Cali! oooooh cali! i need to go there one day!

I love rain so I would go for England, my second choice would be Italy.

I vote for Australia - I've visited a few times & it reminds me of the way the US was back in the 50's. (Or at least they way I think it was in the 50's based on old B&W movies!).

The people seemed so relaxed, open and friendly, with a strong focus on family. And on having fun too.

Fwiw it would be Australia for me too. Only spent 2.5 weeks of my life there so far but it has been the best place to visit for me to date.

Well, I think I have a completely wrong idea of London... last time we went in August so it was warm and sunny... I loved it there! It felt like home! lol. I do like rain... but I'd actually get depressed if it rained everyday...

Italy. I have family there, and the town my grands came from is now a Ski/vacation attraction. But, too chicken to ski down those mountains.

2nd, would be England. I'd visit all the castles, and rolling hills.

3rd, Ireland because it looks beautiful, and they have all those pubs.

Canada!!!!!

My husband's from Canada, plus I like colder weather. Every time I visit (been a while), it feels like home.

My hubby said though...after scraping ice off my car window every morning at 5 am, I probably will hate cold weather.

I worked in Chile for a year and a half and I've always said if I had to live anywhere outside the U.S., it'd be there. I love it!

I haven't been to Italy yet though, so....
