  • Payment systems - boring question

    Hey everyone,

Is there anyone who knows there way around a payroll who could answer the question that if I'm due to be paid on the 1st October (Mon) will I get it just after midnight on sunday, or because it's the 30th on Sun, will I get paid Midnight on Friday?

Hope that makes vague sense. I only get paid every 3 months, so very eager to recieve it!

It depends on a number of different things to be honest, I dont think its the same from one company to another. One thing that I know does have an impact is bank accounts. If the person who is paying you has uses the same bank that you do then it will get into your account quicker.

Hmmm, I see - I thought BACS might be a bit more uniform. Ah well, I'll just have to wait and see.

      Thanks

It will show up on sunday at midnight, the payment will have been sent to a bank prior to the friday so the bank just waits to let it show up in your account....

however if they have applied it to your account on the friday (some banks do) it will probably allow you to withdraw over the weekend it just wont show as cleared on your account, so wont be visable in the balance shown.
