The smell of a sugar beet factory when it gets burned or cleaned - smells like vomited up cheese - ewww. York used to have this occasionally.

My daughter's sippy cup of chocolate milk that rolled under the bed for at least a week before I found it.

Of course I HAD to open it, right?

Barely made it to the toilet before I heaved from the stench.

The chicken factory in the next village to our cricket pitch. When the wind is blowing in the wrong direction tis not pleasant.

I just remembered the truly worst thing I've ever smelled.

Flashback to age 12, walking in the fields in Ohio - in the summer. My friend and I started smelling something and the stench kept getting stronger and stronger as we walkled. After a few minutes we came up on what it was - a dead animal (I don't want to say what kind because someone may have one for a pet!). It was decomposing in the summer heat, and part of it was swelled up from gases, and other parts were "open" with maggots squirming around.

So, I'd have so say rotting flesh was absolutely the most awful thing I've ever seen or smelled. Both of us girls were throwing up & crying.

Guess I had that memory buried until you had to ask this question Rich!

actually, yep you are right that is the worst smell ever - I'd forgotten til you said that a memory of rotting cow me and my parents drove past somewhere...urghhh, awful.
