I was around age 11 and had just got a motorcycle. I decided one day to make a ramp and jump our swimming pool. Long story short, I made it over the pool and when I was in mid-air I realized I was flying right into the back of our house. I survived but the front wheel on my motorcycle was bent all the way up under the motor. I watched too much Evil Knievel jumps as a kid. that was my last stunt as a daredevil, Dad's belt made a believer out of me.

My sibling and I built a hang glider out of 2x4's and paint tarps. We put on our helmets and drug our contraption all the way up the back hillside of a cliff. We were beat when we got up there but so excited. We took a good run and jumped off the cliff side. Not smart! Way to heavy to fly and we had a bad crash. Can we say broken limbs??? We were so sure it would fly!

LOL I think you are right. I once put a new kawasaki cycle in the canal trying to jump it. I thought my father was going to shoot me. All I could say was "he dared me and said I couldn't because I'm a girl!"

I forgot about this until reading some of your posts. This probably borders more on "stupid" verus silly but here I go. When I was about 7 I decided I'd make my own swimming pool slide (since my Mom would not buy me a large pool for fear of a neighborhood child drowning - which I so totally understand now but didn't understand then). I took my swing set slide and placed it into my little plastic pool. I then put the water hose on top of the slide to make it slick and slid down. Never did I think about the ground beneath the thin plastic pool. I almost broke my collarbone. You just dont' think when you're a child and that scares me as I now have a six-year old.

my Dad would have prolly shot me if he could have found a gun, his belt was closer. Michelle, we would have been a dangerous combo, no doubt.

This is such a funny threat!
My brother and I were a pair too.... riding our ponies/horses all over the place with little or no supervision! We rode down to a nearby river one day after school... me in my brand new yellow checked dress... and I fell in and got all muddy... it never got clean again... totally ruined... but we caught a huge bull frog!
My brother used to jump off the roof with a sheet... he couldn't fly either...
Then we built a 'lake'... dug a big hole, lined it with concrete...(don't know where we got it) and bought goldfish... next day they were all dead...(do filter... no air...) there went our big plans of selling tickets and getting rich! lol.

he he he! rofl! We had a bunch of differnt schemes!
I forgot about the mud pies I made when I was 4. they were quite creative with plants from the yard for decoration... spent hours doing that.
We also had drawers full of dress up clothes... we would dress up with the neighbor kids and get married... or make up stories... I remember my older brother putting on my mom's bra... he got in huge trouble!!!!!! huge!

This is a funny thread, My sis said more traffic would stop and buy are crawdeads if she could dress me up. I was only about five and fell for it. I don't really remember but my Mom has piccies to prove how gullable I was.

I lit an emergency flare inside my bedroom, tried to put it out by smothering it on my bed's comforter, burned a whole through the comforter and through the mattress. Ran into the bathroom, tried douse it out from the faucet, that didn't work so I tried filling the basin and smothering it that way. Didn't work, it melted the porcelain. Opened the bathroom window and dropped it two stories into the side yard, ran outside, dug a hole and buried it. That worked.
