Funny statistic - men actually spend more in a year on average for shoes than women. (Think about it - a guy might buy three pair, 2 pairs of atheletic shoes and one pair of dress shoes, total - but the sneakers these days run 80$ to 120$ a pop. And men's dress shoes? 80$ or so to upwards of $500 depending on the man). Our ladies might buy 5 plus pairs, but are likely to spend less than 100$ per pair and in some cases as low as 25$ for a pair of shoes. Something about glass houses and stones, Gents?

That actually makes total sense Titan!! I buy shoes very often but I rarely spend over $30 bucks on a pair... and it's usually under $20.
However when my hubby buys a pair it's closer to $80 - $100.
So really, it does work out quiet fairly.

I know that I'm in the minority here... I have one purse that I use until it is worn out. I do have about 10 pairs of shoes that I wear... but they are all different in style and/or color. I suppose if I had more money, I would buy a few more pairs of shoes... I can't stand to change purses, though.

I actually work in a boutique that sells clothes, purses, shoes, and jewelry. All of our customers just love to have tons of purses and shoes... one of them described herself to me as being a "bag hag" and a "shoe whore".

Ok I counted them!! lol! not too bad!! 45 pairs of shoes, 3 pairs of trainers, 3 pairs of slippers, and 5 pairs of boots!!! Handbags - 30!! lol

Jane, your shoes are so neet and tidy! I have big Rubbermade bins just piled full of shoes! I have a few expensive pairs that I keep in shoe boxes and several that are on/in 3 of my shoe racks, but I just cohabitate with my shoes piled all around me! I love them so! Do you have a favorite type of shoe or a favorite designer?

Most of my shoes are high!! I dont really wear flats - except for the beach and gym, but my flip flops have a wedge!!! lol

Designers - I love LK Bennet, Kurt Geiger, Nine West and Carvella!! I get alot of my shoes from a high street shop called "Next"!! they're not too expensive for everyday wear!!

I am cheap so I shop at DSW. It is the Mecca for discount "high end" shoes. I love 9 West, Steve Madden, Chinese Laundry, BCBGirls & probably several others if I thought about it long enough. I don't drink, don't smoke, or have any other destructive-addictive tendancies. Now that I am not addicted to sugar, all I have is my shoe/purse addiction. I just don't want to be cured!
