It's more like when am I NOT having a full blown conversation with myself and people just happen to walk in one the conversation...the nerve of them. I describe it more like a one-sided dialog between and my creator

"Joy, should you answer this question and embarass yourself in front of the entire world?"
            "Why not? Go for it!"
"Aren't you even a little bit embarassed?"
"Well, maybe a little. But, its better to be honest about ones self, isn't it?"
            "Yeah, but to complete strangers?"
"Sure, why not? They're better because you don't have to face them daily."

Re: Do you ever have a full blown conversation with yourself?

I only do it when I have to have a 'talk' with an employee or my husband. anything that's an issue, I rehearse my points aloud. I don't know that I answer myself very often unless I am trying to change my own mind about something and use it as debate.

It's not the conversation that I mind as much as it is losing an argument that bothers me.

Re: Do you ever have a full blown conversation with yourself?

Yeah. Just did that as a matter of fact - not 15 minutes ago.

The problem? It wasn't intentional. I WAS actually at dh, only to find out 2 minutes into said conversation he was to while . .

But other than that, yes. I do. It's an easy way for me to work through things, particularly when it's INTENTIONAL.

I have to confess...yes, I do. Not outloud though. I just sit there and debate things in my head when I have to make a decision or like disco, when I have to talk to someone about something I imagine worst case scenario and think about what I would say...I guess I kind of imagine the convo in my head. I'm wierd. Don't judge me.
