Watermelon things - not sure why - I think it is because of the color of them; I love red!

I also used to collect matchbooks from all over and places we have visited. This has stopped since smoking has been banned in public places around here... nnedless to say matchbooks are very hard to find.

Maybe I'm using the wrong word. These aren't containers, but flat metal "posters?"

Brook, how long do you keep eyeshadows etc for? I've heard you should only keep them a few months, but when you have a collection like that you'd end up throwing out half of them before you could even use them! I love makeup too..but not that much LOL.
Actually, powdered eyeshadows can be kept upwards of a couple of years - so long as you're diligent about using clean brushes and not cross contaminating anything. Lippies get tossed about every 12-13 months and I use brushes for those too. Mascaras are always replaced every 3-4 months. I'm tweaky about those. And pencils, of course, last forever.

I don't buy anything I won't use at least once. heh heh I just can't help myself. I love the stuff!!

I "collect" books about the movies and movie stars from mostly the 1930's and 1940's but alot of books overlap the 1950's through the present time.

Men's hearts (I keep Richt's in a special display case). LOL

We've gotten rid of most of our various collections b/c of moving this year. But at the cottage we collect those old ad tins too. One looks like it was done by Norman Rockwell for Liberty insurance. That started when we were left a couple in our old cottage. We have about 6 or so, but we're always on the lookout for more.
