    San Diego Wildfires!

    this is where I live... and this is getting really scary!!! PRAY FOR US if you will... we have got to get it to stop... this has been going on since Sunday afternoon, and i just found out its spreading near my home area... this is really getting SCARY!

      Oh my goodness,

      everyone there I am thinking of you too - be safe!

      I heard this on the radio this am and thought of Hopejoy and her husband - they are flying back there today I think and are quite near San Diego I think.

        I thought it was only up in Malibu, I didn't realise it was down in San Diego too!!

            I am definitely praying for you that is horrible! I have always been terrified of fires like that. Its sad that most of the time it's caused by the carelessness of someone.

            I couldn't live in that region, of course everyone says the same to me since I live in tornado alley and 1/2 of my street (houses) were wiped away a few years ago.

              yeah... this is just gettng worse and worse by the minute... im watching my Local News http://www.nbcsandiego.com/index.html its just horrible... im staying home from work and keeping my Grandbabies home with me today... it just jumped the freeway near The Wild Animal Park here in San Diego... which is about 40 miles from my home... and the wind is blowing like crazy so thats just making it worse... and temperature wise we are gonna be about 90-95 today... im sorry that im crying out to you guys... but im glad i have you all here to listen...

                      Ya,, it's pretty bad. My husband is down there. He was supposed to have a five day shoot and they have already lost the horse for todays shoot (it was evacuated) and they just got a call from the police... he lost his police for tomorrows shoot. At best they can get the last three days in because those were indoor shots. But it's going to cost about $200K to try to reschedule the two missed days next week... That's if they can. Much of the crew and talent are already scheduled for another shoot.

                      I hope you are ok.. The day fires came within 4 miles of our house last year. We loaded what we could and drove down the mountain... Fire is really frightening.

                        I haven't even heard of this until a few minutes ago. A guy I work with said his mother was evacuated this morning or yesterday... ? Anyway I guess she's 70 yrs old with no family or anything out there with her.

                          We're at 250 thousand evacuated from San Diego alone... Never mind Malabu... The state may be declared a disaster area. San Diego alone has 13 fires going...
