          Hey y'all, Adre, Marcella & Emma in particular, let's read up on the OWL Stepping Back thread. I think I have gotten unfocused enough that it's time to rev up from the beginning again.

          Is a new start necessary for weightloss? Maybe yes, maybe no. Is it necessary for redirecting energy and regaining focus? No doubt. I need something to kick me in the patootie and maybe some induction is just what the doctor ordered. Girls, you with me?

            Ive been posting in there lots... so i'm with you.... been cutting out things that i think are harming me, ive just not found it yet... process of elimination and all that!

              I hear ya, Emma - I had a slow day yesterday and read the whole thing (yup, you are on there lots!).

              I am reinducting and cutting calories. 20 pounds to go and I have seen basically no motion since September. Are you seeing a difference? How far back did you go? What seem to be your problem foods?

                Berries and Melons make me gain weight...

                I'm thinking that i have a problem with legumes too...

                never had probs with starchy veggies before but may need to check them out soon, also grains, again never had probs before but for some reason as we get closer to goal, things that never have caused problems, start....

                we have about the same to go til our goal weights, im about since September with no loss too, though i did gain and relose some, but this is my low weight...

                This week i'm going to Rung one, see if i can kick start something... but its gonna be a rung one hitting about 45 net carbs, literally all from veggies... if i dont lose this week then i need to figure which veggie is stalling me out, basically im redoing my rungs as what i use to eat isnt working for me anymore.

                  Validrouge suggested Rung 1 for me too, which is actually preferable because it allows a better selection of veggies.

                    yep, ya should never need to go back to induction levels! you cutting carbs too or no?

                    I need to up my calories, that actually could be my problem...

                    My BMR is around 2100

                    I eat around 1200-1500 on an average day.

                      Hi! I never really noticed where you can see the viewers... now I'm gonna start looking for them! lol! lurkers!
                      Now, reguarding the actual conversation... me too... feel like I'm stalling. Keep expecting a whooshi and it never came even after TOM!!!! so unlike my whole pattern so far! Am exersizing an hour a day (walking) this week, also pushing water, (but it's especially hard to do lately... for some reason) and trying hard to cut down on coffee to 1 cup/day... I am thinking it might be the season... it's a weird phenonmenon... I think a lot of people on the board are experiencing the same thing.

                        I think you are right. Between the Slow Losers Club and the Stepping back thread, it seems to be a consistent theme.

                        My efforts this week, cutting back to rung 1 and lowering calories too has paid off. I have dropped a pound. But I am also dropping something else - hair. My hair started falling out back at the first phase of induction and rung 1 in July/August. Now that I am back to rung 1, the hair is falling out again with a vengeance. Frightening. I was at 40 carbs the last 2/3 days, so I am going to up to 50, keeping the same calories, but hopefully stemming the hairloss. My current weight I can live with if I have to. Model-skinny and bald works on Sinead O'Connor - not me.

                        Emma, yes, I dropped carbs down to about 40 or so, but apparently my body has a real problem with that, unrelated to weightloss. Grrrr! My calories have stayed below 1300. I feel good - good energy, not too hungry, but not gross-full.
