You mean one of those "I really appreciate you being there. Love ya, man" type texts? They're hilarious because you know the person is so drunk they won't remember they called you to tell you they love you. If you're the person texting that could be a problem because you could end up texting the wrong person. I'm on the receiving end.

I have never really done them, maybe once or twice. But not common. I dont generally receive them either although i have had a couple of classics in the past.

I personally try to stay far away from any computer when i'm drinking....lol chat programs, facebook and bulletin boards are just far too tempting for me.

my husband has a friend that works afternoons, so when he parties it's usually very very late, always seems to think it's a really good idea to call and tell my husband who he's with, what he's doing ask him what he thought of the hockey game etc...at 3:30 a.m. on a weeknight. 'WHADDAYA MEAN HE'S SLEEPING $$!!$$" is usually the surprised response i hear when i answer.

I had a friend who used to call her BF a lot when she was drunk. I get texts from friends saying they love me too

My husband is notorious for calling all his highschool/college buddies when he's been overserved. It's actually a little embarrassing for me because these guys don't do the same in return, and I have hinted to him that he might be a little old to be doing that.

I swear I am the worlds worst, i dread looking at my sent items in the morning... I want a breathalyser type thing putting on my phone where i have to be sober to use it, but then i'd struggle to order a cab...

Ive had some really funny ones in my inbox, my fave is "fancy a dual?" think predictive text peoples!

many i love yous from people, many random song lyrics, i kinda think its funny to receive them but i cant stop myself sending them... I'm seriously thinking of using a pay as you go phone with no numbers on it when i go out so all i can do is order a cab home

Before there was texting:

I used to call ex boyfriends when drunk, sometimes while hanging out with current boyfriends...did this on New Years Eve once and the current boyfriend stormed out, which was fine, he was a loser anyway, and I didn't end up spending the night alone.

A friend of mine went to New Orleans for Mardi Gras and called me drunk at 3:00 am, and the same dumb boyfriend as above stormed out in the middle of the night because he thought I was cheating. This was before the New Years Eve incident.

Once after I was married, I got a drunken call from an ex in the middle of the night. I changed my phone number shortly after that...

My friend was always doing this and she was always texting exs and meeting up with them!! i have done them a few times as well!!
