Male 6 ft 3in 60 years old. Married 28 years.
Began Atkins March 04 at 260lb, reduced to 203lb by April 07 and maintained.
Blood Pressure Mar 04 147/94 . Jun 04 121/74 . Dec 04 119/72 . Jan 06 126/71 . Dec 07 110/70
Atkins makes exercise mandatory - I took up cycling - see last pics at 203lb.

I am not in this one but back in '98 we had one and watching all the news coverage reminds me of what everyone went through. I knew people who were without power for more than a week! They cancelled school for a week and people had to live in hotels till they got the power on. It was neat to see all the trees bent over from the weight of the ice. It looked really pretty too! It did cause quite a mess and the clean up took a long time. I feel for those people.sigpic~Starr~

I had no idea so many people had died. Our weather has been warmer than normal for this time of year. Last ice storm I was involved in was in Michigan in April of 2003. We had no power for a week. Also had to stay in a hotel. We thought we'd be OK staying home since our heat was run on gas, but it had an electric starter. We're so unprepared for diasasters.
