Sooo excited!!

My boyfriend just called with HUGE news.

He's been hired to work as a full time employee of EA/Mythic!

For those who don't know, EA makes video games. Mythic is one of their branches. He's working on the Warhammer MMO right now, which is basically going to be the major competator of World of Warcraft.

This is so big for us because we've been worried they might let him go after his contract ran out in February. Now that we know he's on salary, he actually has benefits and can afford a new car! We're even thinking about buying a house!

There's an EA in my neighborhood! I tried to get DS to go there for an internship. His loss.

Particularly when you don't have a degree yet! I actually just told him about your BF, maybe that will spark him a bit. It really is very wonderful news.

Without a degree it sounds dang near impossible! o_o I'd kill to work for them, myself. I work in the same field (3d art) but for an engineering firm. Around here, that kind of work is really hard to come by.

See, I always thought my DS should go into engineering of some sort. He is back in school, starting fresh at a community college so for that I am pleased.

Engineering is a money making machine, lemme tell ya.. I know nothing about it, math and architecture are not for me, but if you can do it and enjoy it? Man you've got a gold mine.

That is great news! Celebrating sounds good, you can't go wrong with a steak or fish, a veggie and a salad!
