I once was licking an envelope and paper cut my nose.

Yay for that! John has been doing sidework every weekend lately, its weird, its either feast or famine when it comes to the side jobs. Latley he's being offered more than he has the time or energy to do! I will, of course be doing housework and laundry and such.

Mom and Dad are in Acapulco for the month and he calls at least once a day on Skype on the computer to rub it in. LOL, he's so funny with his newly discovered toy, his webcam.

Karen, you're dad sounds funny. John is lucky to be busy right now. So many of our friends who do home repairs, etc are starving. A friend of mine told me his secret for staying busy, even with the economy the way it is right now. He's a painter and he says as long as you show up on time and do what you say you're going to do you'll always make money.

Porcelain. Ouch! I have so many papercuts it looks like I've been playing with sharp objects. I should contact OSHA. I've never papercut my nose though.

            I love that veggie pic.

You know roaches love to eat on the glue on enevelopes and such. I heard a story once, don't know if it is true or not but working in the medical industry it isn't that hard to believe. This one chick paper cut her tongue and some roach eggs got in it and they grew. She had the lump incised and there were like baby roaches. That reminds me of the bot fly that grew in that woman's head. Ew.

Gross, that sounds like an urban legend though. You do know there are carbs in the glue on the envelopes though, don't you? You should use a sponge to wet them.

Miss P, John is always on time and usually ends up having to wait on the customer which ticks him off. Plus, he charges 1/2 of what the plumbing companies charge and guarantees his work so he gets lots of referrals. He likes it because we live in a very old neighborhood and someone is always having one issue or another with their plumbing. Its great because 90% of the time its someone within a couple of blocks of our place.

I've done the nose papercut before too...i've cut my tongue as well. I now buy the presticky envelopes....

Do your parents have a place in Aculpulco? My inlaws used to have a place in Fla they would spend the whole winter, but they sold it a couple of years ago as the out of country health insurance kept going up as my FIL got older (he's 80 now). Now they go to Cuba for a couple of weeks every year.

We thought about going for a week with them in March this year but i think they'd drive us crazy.

My folks have a time share, they trade and save up the weeks and go every other year for a month. They've been doing that for years now. There is another couple from Maryland that they've been friends with forever, who meet them there. They have a wonderful relaxing time. I'm so envious!

Ouch at nose and tongue papercuts. Suddenly I feel better about my finger slices.

I'd love a vacation. Just had one in November, but it wasn't long enough. I could use a vacation once a month.

Before I moved here I imagined that's how my life would be. The reality is quite different than that. I sit under flourescent lights all day, in front of a computer, reminding myself over and over that I should not stab myself in the eye with a pen.

                                Yes...you definately need a vacation!

Guess it doesn't help living in a vacation place having to actually see all the tourists either..that would annoy me to no end!
