Will it ever end?

Winter that is.

For those of us living in the northern hemisphere....is anyone else as sick of winter as I am?

I'm sitting here listening to a neighbours car wheels spinning, he's stuck ....i've heard this sound more this year than any other winter (it's like nails on a chalkboard now!). And the latest snow storm isn't even here yet.

We own a cottage up north where we usually go up and snowmobile all winter..this year we aren't, because honestly..we're just sick of looking at snow. And my husband is a plow driver and working 7 days a week for 2 months now.

Anyone else having a really crappy winter where they are?


i normally don't whine much about the weather but this year i'm sooooo tired of it! Spring and summer just can't get here fast enough!!!

I would trade you in a minute. My people are bored and hungry. We've had almost no snow in the last 6 weeks and it's ridiculous. We're all praying we get blasted this month so we can afford to eat this spring/summer/fall.

Wow I'm sorry to hear that Brook, I guess it can be completely different everywhere. My heart goes out to you guys, and i'll gladly send every snowstorm vibe i can snow upon you!!!! That situation is exactly what happened here last year. we are lucky in that my husband plows for the city so he's a gov't employee and gets paid regardless...but I do know that many idependant companies really depend on it. There is a terrible domino effect from a snowless winter ...ski resorts, motels and businesses in rural areas that cater to ice fishing and snowmobilers....

I think it's all to do with global warming...I've seen the most bizarre winters in the past 5 years. This past monday i was sitting at the beach with my dog and it was 56 deg ! I actually believed that spring might be here. apparently not!

Seems like we have done something to annoy Texas..all of these storms seem to come up here from there!!

I am with you! I live in Canada, too. Toronto in fact. We're supposed to get the storm of the season tonight and tomorrow! 30 to 50 cms!!!!! Enough is enough! Lol!

I'm in Toronto too . right in the city where we have tiny lawns and no blvds to put our snow on when we shovel. We're supposed to drive to Buffalo NY on Sunday for a shopping trip and i'm hoping it doesn't have to be cancelled!

Yes! I am sick of winter. I hate the cold. I hate how it gets dark too early. I hate the rain, snow, and ice. The whole winter season just puts me in a funk. I need my sunshine and 100 degree days!! I have alway said that I wish I was a bear. Then, I could just find a cave and sleep until it warms up.
It is sad that peoples' livelihoods are so effected by the lack of snow. Hang in there Brook. I will think snow for you.

Right now...that's my issue.

If it's gonna be butt-cold...then at least give me snow. Cold without snow is pointless and stupid.

I'd like to file a complaint. LOL

Ugggh there is nothing worse than cold grey snowless days!

If you do figure out who you can complain too...let me know we can start an online petition!

We're both in the city!!! That's so nice!!! Glad to have another Torontonian on here! I live right downtown and the pedestrian and car traffic that occurs is insane from this weather!

I hope that you can still go to Buffalo! Walden Galleria in particular is great to do some shopping!!!! My bf and I do that and eat at the Olive Garden!!! ENJOY HUN!

Here in Virginia its gray and raining today. Haven't had much snow this winter and it hasn't been that cold really. Virginia has mild winters.

I think the Tsunami of 06 is the cause of different winters...apparently it caused a 1 inch tilt in the earth's axis.

I wish we had some snow.

Sick of snow...let me count the ways!

Seriously this winter has about put me over the edge! I bought a "Happy Light" to treat winter depression & it is such a blessing. Feeling like myself again.

Today is 46* with beautiful sunshine. Tomorrow a miserable storm with snow, sleet & freezing rain.

My theory is Mother Nature is menopausal so we must all suffer!! Hang tight Spring will arrive!

I am tired of the psycho weather. Kentucky is the place where you usually have to turn the air conditioning on during the day and the heat on at night. This last week started with 70 degrees and ended today with 29 degrees and snow/rain/sleet. We're expected to get 4 to 6 inches. There's at least 4 now and it's still pouring down. Last year my child hardly had a summer vacation for all the snow days they had to make up. Yep, I agree, I want it over with.
