  • Men vs Women???

This is kinda a diet question/kinda misc, so it ended up here...

On this Atkins diet, do men change differently than women?
Do they lose weight more/less? Respond differently to the diet?
Just curious, some stupid commercials out there say the man stopped drinking coke & lost 10 pounds, the woman stopped drinking coke & lost nothing. Wondering if there was any truth to it. Also, my husband keeps thinking I'm strange b/c I keep looking for new recipes of things I can eat & try to mix it up. He couldn't care less & enjoys eating the same thing every single day of his life. Is that just preference or is that a male/female thing?

Curiosity eventually gets the kitty, I give.

    Re: Men vs Women???

Not sure about on atkins but I believe there is truth to the "men lose more easily than women" in general. Of course there are exceptions. I think it has not only to do with the way we are shaped but more of a hormonal thing and periods making us retain water, crave where men dont, etc.

My mom and dad both went on the same diet yrs back and went walking together everyday for a month. not sure what diet it was a long time ago,

Anyway my dad lost like 17 lbs in that month and my mom about 3. I believe it!

I keep telling my husband if hed start atkins with me, hed lose in no time! But hed rather be fat and have his sweets. He doesnt seem to be unhappy at all with himself. Me, Id rather be thin
