I don't know how well it would hold up but you could bring some string cheese and pepperoni?? Oh better yet, some folks put the pepperoni in the microwave to make chips, you could do that and put them in a baggy!

Let us know what you come up with!

I used to take pork rinds or would eat well before I went. Before when I was on this diet adn I allowed myself things like popcorn, I eventually failed.

And, OH YES, I am going to see Ironman.

            Re: movie food

I used to eat the biggest bucket of that popcorn. Last time I had some I felt sick even until the next day (and I didn't have nearly as much as I used to). So I have memories of loving the popcorn but know now the reality is pretty terrible.

Anyway - I don't eat anything anymore at the movies, probably for a couple of years now (long before low-carbing). It was too much effort to come up with something healthy, and then I thought maybe we're all brainwashed somehow that we feel we can't have a good time at the movies without food. When you think about it, there's not much we do without food anymore! I was taking a 3 hour plane trip recently and the travel agent told me there wouldn't be any food on the plane so be sure to pack something, and I thought, well, I can probably survive three or four hours without eating anything! It's a weird thing in our culture, I think.

              Re: movie food

I usually have a pickle and water or a small diet coke. I used to take nuts but I don't eat nuts anymore, I have NO control over them.
I've also taken turkey peperoni, non-sugar cured beef jerky and sf jello snack cups...
BUT, I would like to NOT eat anything when I go - I totally agree with Suechef!! We feel like we have to eat at the movies... it just feeds the mindless snacking fairy and we need to starve her!

Oh, that is definitely true, we were raised that way..practically brainwashed into it. When I watch a movie at home, I don't even think about popcorn but when I am at the movies, it feels odd to sit there without anything. I feel like I am missing something. That is why I have a good meal before I go so I don't feel so deprived.

I generally don't eat at the movies.. I do drink a bit during them. If I know I am going to be snacky, at the 2:30 movie for example, I take nuts.
