Not yet, but wasn't that Heath Ledger who passed away recently? There wasn't anything mentioned in the papers or news about it at all. Maybe I have actors mixed up.

I can't wait to see it....when it comes out on video.

Ooooo!!! I saw it when I was on vacation and it was G-R-E-A-T! Lisa you're right Heath Ledger plays the Joker and he passed away recently. I'm not a huge Ledger fan but I'm definately going to say Oscar Nod!!!! Oh yeah!

It is a really good movie with all sorts of twists and turns. You never know when the movie is going to end or what's going to happen next. Christian Bale is AWESOME!!!!

My one gripe is the chick they got to play Katie Holmes' old part. Magge Gyllenhaal (yes I think she is Jake's sister)....ugh...she was sooo annoying. Minor problem though she doesn't ruin the movie fortunately!

Go see the movie! It's awesome!!!

        Re: The Dark Knight

Sounds like it's going to be an Oscar nod for sure, I've been reading the reviews.

Ledger was in The Patriot with Mel Gibson (we own the movie because my DH is a war-history fan....and I liked Mel at one time or another)--and I thought he was really cute and did well then. Okay, there's my "he's cute" post of the day...

I LOVED The Dark Knight! I saw it in an IMAX theatre, totally awesome. I actually like Maggie Gyllenhaal better than Katie Holmes, I think she's a much better actress. Heath Ledger was very disturbing in this film...in fact, I read somewhere that this role seriously affected him, he was very depressed from it. See the movie and you'll know why...

You're totally right about the disturbing character of Ledger. It made him quite depressed I read as well. I also read that he would go to great lengths to get into character to the point where he would remain in character way after the director called "cut". I heard he kinda freaked out fellow cast members.

I'm not a huge fan of Katie Holmes either...I guess for me it was a matter of who was the less of the two evils...haha!

We saw it for the second time in IMAX--definitely worth it. Ledger's role is one of the better screen villians I've seen. 'Disturbing' is a great description, 'cause he is.

              Go see it.
