  • My wedding band broke my window!

So I was driving to pick up Tink from work today and I had my drivers side window slightly. I stuck my fingers out of the window to feel the breeze, but when I brought my hand back in, my wedding band hit the edge of the window. Next thing I know, I've got shattered bits and pieces of safety glass all over me and in the car.

Has this happened to anybody else? From the few people I've talked to, this is a first.

That's freaky! Glad you didn't get sliced to bits. And, no, I've never heard of this happening to anyone else ... you're unique, Adam

My fingers have gotten so plump that my wedding and engagement ring are, like, soldered on; at least, since starting Atkins, I can now move them around freely, but that bulbous "spare tire" of finger fat is hanging stubbornly on, refusing to let me budge those rings past the first knuckle ...*grumbles* Doesn't seem right that I have loose pants and tight rings :P That's right up there with the combo of zits and wrinkles ... Nature can be so cruel.

I've never heard of that either. The glass must have been defective. I'd take it back to the dealer, unless it's too old. I'm glad you weren't hurt.

no but when I was dating my hubby I went to work with him one night (24 hour store) and when we were leaving the next morning. He being all nice (back then) was going to shut my door for me. He shut the door and the glass shattered all over me. I was picking glass out of my hair and clothes for ever!

It was a Smokey and the Bandit car. lol

They say if you live in an area where flooded roads are common you should keep a screw driver in close proximity to the drivers seat. This is so when you are suddenly swept away from the raging river... and submersed you get the screw driver and hit it with great force with the end... they say this should do exactly what your wedding ring did... the impact on a small part of that glass with great force of a metal obkect will SHATTER those windows... so that is exactly what you did... so next time your swept away with flooding river or drive off the pier, you can use your Multi-purpose wedding ring... I can't wait to hear what else that magical ring of yours is capable of... KEEP US POSTED!
