So my surgery went well. I'll admit that I'm in much more pain than I thought I would be in, but all in all I'm doing well. The hospital care was horrible, so I asked to come home. So here I am at home.
The day of the surgery (Thursday) all I had to eat was a couple bites of salad and some sliced turkey (for sandwiches). On Friday I had a couple bites of horrid eggs and then when I got home my husband made me a salad, and I did my best to eat as much as I could...but when I hurt I don't like to eat.
Today I had three eggs and some bacon for breakfast. Some steamed squash for lunch and a med. salad with three sticks of celery with cream cheese.
I am not able to put any weight on my right leg at all, so I won't be able to weigh in for the next six weeks, but I think as long as I can keep my calories up and carbs down all will be well. I have to use alot of my upper body strength for the walker and to get in and out of bed...so that should be great too.
Okay, so I'm all doppy and ready for another rest. I'll check in later this week. =)
