We are still in Cyprus, but needed a rest from mucking out the Nicosia house we will occupy when I retire. So we are at the Palm Beach Hotel Larnaca for the weekend.
Went looking for lunch on the strip outside the Palm Beach. No luck, so went back to hotel.
Did see, however, boy sitting on bench outside the "Boozy Rouge Pub" (closed). Bike propped up against tree, laptop on knee. Aha, we thought, free WiFi.
So after lunch here I am - beats the 10Euro a day the hotel wants!
Nothing new to report except I was brave enough to swim a few lengths in the outside pool - about as cool as Tynemouth on a June day! FREEZING!
(Only the Brits, and only some of them, will know about Tynemouth, but worth a Google. The north east coas of England has some of the finesy beaches in the British Isles, but the temperature . . .
