How many here Tweet? Who are your favourites to follow?

I've recently discovered some fun users to follow and cheer up my day! I don't tweet myself, I'm more of a follower...unfortunatley I don't think my life is interesting enough that anyone cares LOL.

Some of my faves to follow:

common_squirrel - basically just a squirrel, but it cracks me up. his tweet 5 mins ago: jump jump

badbanana: tweeter from Nebraska, he's hilarious....and at the top of my favs

mashable: for all social networking news. good articles

cnn/anderson cooper: for news updates, ac 360 blog updates

Tina Fey, she rarely tweets (hasn't in 3 weeks or so) but when she does it's funny

I'm also following a bunch of celebs, of course Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher (these 2 never seem to shut up LOL), women from the view, Oprah, Shaquille O'Neal, Steve Buscemi (my favourite celeb tweeter).

Anyone else come across anyone interesting funny etc and worth following?

I don't understand Twitter... could you explain it to me?

I do Facebook, and it's addicting, but I think totally different from Twitter.

It's really hard to explain actually lol. Almost like trying to explain facebook to someone!

I was a facebook addict too..but now I'm more addicted to twitter.

It's pretty simple really...you can post 140 characters..it just asks "what are you doing". Facebook has actually changed it's format to be more 'twitterlike' in your status. I would assume this was to compete.

It's just basically a real time status update page, you can post links to articles and sites and pictres as well..but your 'page' is very different from facebook..to me it's a grown up version of facebook..

I really didn't understand it either..even after I joined, until I added some people to follow. Mine are mostly celebs or comedians, I enjoy the laugh i et in the morning from the funny updates they post. Alot of celebs seem to be using it to promote upcoming shows (ie oprah and ellen) and also for charity causes.

I'm really surprised that there aren't more twitter users here?

Maybe they don't have time to use Twitter because they spend it at ADBB.

I actually have an account there... but I never used it. I'll check it one of these days, what you're saying sounds fun.

here's what my page looks like this morning..i'm following about 32 people..not all post every day though



Common squirrel cracks me up...someone takes the time 4 or 5 times a day to update with 'run run run' 'acorn acorn' 'eat eat eat'

Thanks for explaining! It sounds like something else I could get addicted to. Do you think these celebs actually log in and type their own words? I'm wondering about that. That squirrel is funny... I'm easily entertained too...lol
