  • What's on your iPod/CD Player?

I was uploading music and podcasts on my iPod this morning, and I couldn't help but notice what a mess I have on it -- everything from exercise music to cooking podcasts. So that got me wondering... What do others listen to on their iPod or CD Player?

Here's what I have at the moment:

    Podcasts
    • "World Vision Report"
    • "The Splendid Table"
    • "The Livin' La Vida Low-Carb Show"
    Music albums
    • "Hunting High and Low" (A-ha)
    • "Spirits Having Flown" (The Bee Gees)
    • "Rio" (Duran Duran)
    • "Modern Times" (Bob Dylan)
    • "Jagged Little Pill" (Alanis Morissette)
    • "Stadium Arcadium" (Red Hot Chili Peppers)
    Other music (aka exercise music)
    • 50 Cent
    • Caesars
    • Alicia Keys
    • Ultra Nate
    • Usher
    • Amy Winehouse

Since I've been on this WOE, I've been addicted to downloading Dance/Exercise versions of current pop/rock songs and classic pop/rock songs (Don't Stop Believin', Nickelback, etc.)

I also have Theory of a Deadman which is great for cardio.

However, I start every cardio session with Kickstart My Heart by Motley Crue. How appropriate.

Finally, I've recently discovered how to transfer TV shows to my Ipod, so I generally watch the previous night's shows that I'm into (24, Harper's Island, Prison Break, etc.)

80's mixes that my daughter made for me. Make me exercise harder & go further on walks.

Every mp3 that I own...mostly 80's rock, some newer stuff like Nickelback, Chili Peppers, OAR. Mostly entertainment on the bus to work & back for me - I walk with a buddy & cycle in front of the TV

As of this morning I also have Janis Joplin.

Your posts reminded me that I have Nickelback somewhere on the computer. I should add some of their songs to my playlist.

Definitely, they have some excellent workout music ("Burn It To The Ground" is a good one.)

However, if you like Nickelback, then you'd probably love Theory of a Deadman (terrible band name, I know). If Nickelback didn't exist, then that band would be as huge as Nickelback if you know what I mean. Some songs to try from Theory are:

Wait For Me - rockin' ballad-type
Sacrifice - was official song of 08 Olympic Team
              So Happy

              Enjoy!

Oooh, a music thread! My kind of thread!! Well, let's see. Of COURSE, I have Keane on there. Coldplay. Arctic Monkeys. The Killers. The Fray. The Envy Corps--and basically a bunch of indie-rock bands most people have never heard of. Also Dave Matthews Band.

I listen to Linkin Park & Jay-Z's mashup when I'm working out. Totally rockin' stuff. I highly recommend it.

I'm a music junkie. The only kind I can't really stand is country. But my favorite is rock n' roll/indie pop/rock. XD

Re: What's on your iPod/CD Player?

I have a mix of upbeat 80's music for walking.

Then some AC/DC, Metallica, Rammstein, and other hard rock favorites for when I want to get onto the gym's bikes, crank the difficulty to 8 and just go wild.
                  What I do:
Elliptical gym machine 1 hr Tue-Sun
At 320, switch to cycling on my Trek 500
                  2 filtered containers water/day
                  Daily salads/veggies

                  Goals:

Stop needing High Blood Pressure meds - DONE!
                  Workout in a XXXL shirt
                  - DONE!
                  Workout in a XXL shirt
                  Workout in a XL shirt
