    If strawberries are always half price are they every half price?

    Well, I don't know what it's like in the USA, but in UK it does seem that winter and summer strawberries are advertised as "Half Price" or in "Buy one get one free" offers.

    I can't say, living in California I'm really spoiled for produce. Little farmers markets are everywhere, and cheap. No need for gimmicky sales, just a small booth near a road.

    There is a strong over pricing of pomegranates though. Also lies + marketing = fake demand.
