i am in the middle of moving out of my apartment. my lease is up the 31st. over a month ago i offered some of my furniture to a coworker whose son is living in off-campus housing. He wanted to come last Friday night and I couldnt accomodate him as I was going to be moving things to my new place and I didnt want to sit around waiting on him. that night I suggested he come tonight (tues. 7/2
. I have been moving all weekend and my mothers car broke down and she needed my car for the day today(tuesday 7/2
. Well i need my car back to finish my move and tonight I am getting a ride to my moms house to get my car. As a result, I said I wouldnt be able to meet her son until later tonight (10pm ish) or another night. She said her son works nights and couldnt meet any other night. I offered to meet him in the morning (she said hed be too tired after working all night). I said well he isnt working tonight so he could meet me tomorrow morning but he staying at girlfriends tonight so that why later tonight wont work or in AM. I also offered to leave work to meet him during the afternoon tomorrow or any other day this week. None of that worked. I then offered to drive the things to her house. She said that wouldnt work b/c her son was going to take only the things that he liked and she didnt want to be stuck with junk. I am a little peeved at that statement. I had assumed that he was taking all the things that I had left. I was unaware that he was coming over to "browse". I would have had all that stuff donated or thrown away by now. Now I have a ton of stuff to do in the next 3 nights that i didnt have to do 20 mins ago. To top it all off, she is acting as though I am wrong for not being available tonight and is giving me a huge attitude. Am I the wrong one here? Am I missing something?
Any advice would be helpful...sorry for the vent!
