  • Graduate sues college for not finding a job (for her)

School Gate - Times Online - WBLG: Jobless graduate sues college - a portent of things to come?

This is like the lady suing Starbucks (I think) 'cause they didn't warn her the coffee is hot. Or those suing McDonalds for becoming overweight.

I need to sue someone too. Looks like fun.

    Wow.

Maybe I can sue Hershey's for not putting warnings on their chocolate bars... "Excessive consumption will lead to weight gain."

I can make money by being obese!

You've got to be kidding me! With a 2.7 GPA too??? Sorry, but even the top percentile students are having a tough time. The thing is if you are in the top group you may get some recommendations or a foot in the door. Below average students? Heck, maybe she should have thought about hitting the books a tad harder while she was in school..or going to a more affordable community college.

Another thing: Paying that much for tuition is a gamble. There is no guarantee (esp. in today's economy) that you will find a job. That was the case when I got my Master's from Johns Hopkins in 2000 and it's even more an issue now. I took a gamble that the investment would pay off and well it did for a while until the economy went belly up. HEY...maybe I should sue Hopkins because I'm now unemployed!

Oh...and the reimbursement for the job search stress??? Give me a break. There are millions of people here in the US that could jump on that bandwagon.

What a dope. I hope she loses.
