Well, no one knew what on Earth to get me for Christmas. Really, I only had my son, my mom and my aunt buying presents for me. So, when Mom asked what I wanted, I told the truth!!! Something I couldn't afford to buy for myself!! I asked for and received a pair of Skechers Shape Ups!!! I love these shoes people!!! They feel awesome!! Feels like you're walking on marshmallows!! I have back problems and a knee issue is starting to present itself! Neither one bother me a bit while I'm wearing these!! According to the manufacturer they require a bit of break in time but I have not found that to be true. I think they can truly be a fitness asset to people who actually are active and work out. I think they won't work so well for people who think all they have to do is buy a special pair of sneakers and not get off their butt and exercise!
I've worn them every day since Christmas. They're supposed to help develop muscles in several areas including your calves and your butt. Every time I walked into Mom's house, my aunt would bend over and stare at my butt to see if I had gotten one yet!! With all that I do to achieve butt muscle, I am not very rewarded!!! So, I'll put a thousand miles on these soles and see what happens!
I think these are terrific shoes if you can't tell. There are deals to be had but you've got to research. They retail for about $100 a pair. She got mine at Kohl's and had a 30% off coupon. I'd love to get another back up pair!

Hey Julie,
In case you didn't know about it, I thought I'd share that Yahoo groups has a group dedicated to George Foreman Grills. It has oodles of recipes that are easy to adjust and ideas for ways to use the grill. Since I joined the group I've probably upped my use of the grill by 400% Have fun with it!I also got an indoor grill (George Forman type, but different brand)MAY 2010 Challenges

i HAVE ONE OF THOSE GRILLS I USED TO USE IT ITS VERY GOOD.I BETTER DIG IT OUT OF THE KITCHEN AND USE IT TOO.IT GREAT FOR HEALTHY MEALS FOR THE KIDS.

I got 5 new sweatshirts that are all smaller than the ones I got last year! YEA.....
Also another good present was the Garmin GPS unit the hubs got me so I can stop getting lost going to his doctor's appointments!
Probably the best gift was one I gave myself....better health. I hope to have as much good luck this year getting myself healthy agin.Carole_____________________May Water 130oz daily

The best "thing" I got was a wool hat hand-knitted in Nepal. All of my other winter hats were acrylic, so I'm psyched about a more "natural" hat...- M/37

Hmmm..the indoor grill. I use mine ALL the time (it isn't a GF but I used to have one of those). My tip for the grill...after you are done with it, and it has cooled a bit (but still warm is helpful), put a damp/wet paper towel on it and close it, and let it sit for a while. Makes clean up so much easier. My grill comes apart but I still find this easier for cleaning.
One of the best presents I got was a nice big hardcover book on the history of the Boston Red Sox. My hubby is CLUELESS about this stuff and he hates sports...so for him to put some thought into it and buy me something I didn't specifically ask for...is a good thing. I will say I liked getting smaller sized clothes too. I have always worn XL and this year got size Med.
(My son's Lego Rock Band game is pretty fun too and I have to admit I like his Zhu Zhus
).
