  • It's Saturday! What are your plans for today?

    Good Morning!

    It is Saturday morning and I was curious about what everyone is up to this weekend.

    I woke up this morning to more snow, not a lot but it is snowing. My DH had class this morning so I am sitting here all alone in the peace and quiet enjoying a cup of coffee as a treat.

    I plan to get up shortly and get dressed, do some housework. Since I am alone instead of heading to the gym in the snow I am going to do wii fit and dance around the house while I clean for my daily exercise. I need a couple things from the store and if it clears up I will walk there since it isn't to far for some extra exercise.

    We built our house last year and DH has put a woodworking shop downstairs. He has a friend coming over today to help him frame in some new walls down there so he can finish setting up his shop. I think I will make them a treat and a nice dinner tonight. Then DH and I will sit down and watch the America's Next Top Model marathon that I record. I love it that he will sit and watch it with me and we can sit and talk about it. Even though my son and his friends laugh because he watches a "girly" show he never lets it bother him. I love that about him.

    Sunday mornings are family breakfast day. My son and the in laws come over in the morning and we have coffee and I make some type of homemade breakfast. Each week we have something different. Sometimes I make things I can not have with this way of eating but I always have something ready for me so I am not tempted. After breakfast we all sit around and talk and catch up on the week. Sometimes we will load the car up and go shopping somewhere, like last weekend we drove 40 mins away and went to Ikea just to look around. Tomorrow we have no plan but that doesn't mean anything sometimes it is just spur of the moment.

    So there you have it my weekend plan, what is yours?

    For my Saturday I am going to lunch and a movie with my oldest daughter. It will be a girls day out of the house, which I am SOOOOOO looking forward to.

        I am alone all day. My DH is working all day and my DD is out of town. I am not really sure what I will do. I will run this morning and maybe a yoga class later on. Watch some olympic curling. And make myself a steak. Because I love it. I am still working on my Olympic Challenge (which was to eat no pb) and my water challenge. So I will have to be good at those. I will relax. And get ready for nest week. It should be good.

        Your DH sounds wonderful Aprile. There are some really good guys out there for sure.

          I got very lucky. Somedays I wonder but for the most part yes I am very lucky. We met by chance on the internet 14 years ago when the internet was still really new. I didn't even own a computer back then. I was at a friends house as she had just got her computer and we were just goofing off checking out the AOL chat rooms. Everyone thought I was crazy when I flew up to meet him but in my heart I knew that it was meant to be. Sounds corny but it is true.

          He has stuck by my side through my eating disorder, heart problems and surgery, going deaf. Most men would have ran far and fast and he just takes it one day at a time with me. We hardly ever argue maybe once a year and it is more of a debate than an argument, we are both pig headed. The coolest thing is our birthdays are a day apart so we celebrate at midnight on the night between our birthdays.

            I went to my neices 4th birthday party all dressed up with the family.Had a great time with other family members.

              Hi! Im Carne and a new member.
              Today is a beautiful day in Miami Beach....high 70s...
              So after breakfast DH and I are heading out to the beach, and after that we will hit up our favorite Argentinean restaurant. They have the most amazing lunch special- HUGE churrasco (steak) with two sides (I get the mixed veggies and salad) and a soda for $9!!

              Not sure what we'll do later on tonight...maybe a TOsh.0 marathon or a movie. And everyone else?

                Hi Carne and Welcome!

                Sounds like your going to have Cuban Steak, yum! I am originally from Tampa and I miss it.

                I went and got my hair cut today. I am waiting for DH to get home to see what he has planned for me. It is rainy and just yucky cold out so not sure I wanna go out and mess up my new do

                I am going to make some Kale Soup later today for dinner. I will minus the potatoes for me but other than that the other ingredients are good for my rung. I get to have kidney beans today. Who would have thought I would be excited about beans lol.

                Hope Everyone has a great weekend. Don't forget Clocks change tonight!

                  Never been to Tampa, but I hear it's lovely. You guys get the sunsets we dont have!!! -_-

                    Yeah the sunsets were so nice. I don't live in Florida anymore. I live in cold New England now. I miss going to the beach whenever I wanted. I do have to admit though Spring and Fall are something I think I would miss now if I ever moved back home. I don't miss the summer heat though.
