  • FitdayPC question

I bought and downloading FitdayPC and I really like it. However, what I don't like is that it doesn't show fractional carbs, the way Fitday.com does. I believe it does count in fractional carbs because sometimes the carb count for the day doesn't change, even though it records as if I have added a carb to the day. Has anyone else noticed this? Is there a way to ask it to show fractional carbs?

I am a little put off by this, but now that I've bought it and used it a few days, I would like to keep using it. Like I said before, I think it counts it right, I just can't see what it's doing exactly and that's bothering me.

    Re: FitdayPC question

I usually play with the values. If I'm not sure where the fractions are coming from, I move things around until I catch the culprit, though at this point I usually know where the carbs are coming from.

Right--I can *sort of* tell which values are different, plus every time I enter in food, I check to see how it changed my carb/fiber count.

Cleo--in your opinion does it count correctly? TIA.

My memory of the PC version is that it's tracking the fractions in the background.

If you click on an individual food, doesn't it show you the decimal information?

I think it counts all right for what it is.

If you can check out the labels of your food, it's going to be more succinct than what fitday calculates, which is more of a general value across the board. I know my unsweetened cocoa from Hershey's is different than fitday's because it calculates for some other unsweetened cocoa. I like to input my own values for half of the things I eat, since even unsweetened cocoa values seem to differ so much! I'm a little bit of a control freak, though. Still, I like to check values against can values and adjust.

Nope, it doesn't, yet it does seem to track the fractions in the background. I wish it at least did show the fractions, though.

            Thanks Atkinsgal.
