    10 key - "average speed"?

Just a longshot if anyone knows - I'm trying to fill out a job application for my husband (we're making finding him a new job a team effort ) and it asks for his "net 10 key speed in keystrokes per hour, for example 3500). He's an okay typist, but not the best so I should probably put something a little slower than average. What should I put for this? I'm not sure if 3500 is average or not.

I'm assuming this is for a data entry job?
If you google "ten key typing speed" you should come up with a few online tests. I'm a decent typist, but it took me a while to get good at ten-key. I had a data entry job in high school, and they were slave-drivers, lol.

Sorta kinda . It's for a Medical Accounts kind of position - he'd have to do some cash handling so they want to know what his 10 key speed is. Only problem is he's at home and I'm at work, and I was wanting to send in this application asap. I was just curious what an "average" speed would be so I could guesstimate how fast he might be.

3500 seems a little below average only because that would be 58 kspm. I think average is closer to 80 kspm/4800ksph. So maybe that would be good since he isn't a super typist, and then he always has room to improve.
