  • Making posters

    Hi everyone,

I was wondering where you guys get all the cool images that you have in your signatures and also how you would go about making a large colour poster.

Are there websites of images that you can use? Reason I ask is because I need to make a poster for my book group to be used on a stand and I'd like some book-y images.

Also which programme is best for fonts and size of a poster - I'm thinking A5 size? I'd like it to have a background of some sort, not just be plain text...hmmmm.

    Any thoughts?

    Re: Making posters

there are tonnes of websites around the best way is to go to google something like "book gif" or "book jpg" or even "book images"

    I use Paint Shop Pro

you can download a trial from the website, or i can burn you a copy, will save you about £80 LOL

you can download tonnes of fonts, any you want just again do a search for "free fonts" dl them to your desktop then drag them into the fonts folder in the "windows" file on your PC

if you tell me exactly what you want, i'll try and come up with something, but its always hard to do something for someone else as only the person knows wxactly what they want....

if you write down all the info, what kinda syle you want and put it in chit chat, you should get a few people trying to do something for you, maybe one will work!
