  • Changing keyboard settings - help!

Ok, I've searched microsoft help, but I can't find the answer to how to change the keyboard functions.

Ever since my hardrive was replaced the pound sign key (the shift function on '3') comes out as # and the " button (shift function of '2') comes out as @.

    I need a pound sign!!!!

    Any ideas?

        So the answer is...

Start >> Settings >> Control Panel >> Regional and Language Options.

        Then the Languages Tab.
        Then Click on Details.
Select Default Input Language to be English UK.

Then in the Installed Services Window, remove all the references to the US Keyboard layout, plus another counties.

Apply, OK. Then let me know if that worked or not.
