I bought myself a new toy today -


Just out of interest I wonder if any of you could tell me how much you would be paying in your respective areas / countries?

A 5.0 mega pixel Digital camera - Kodak brand. Should have been £199.00 but I haggled a bit and got it for £179.00.

I got a 256 mb SD card for £29.99 instead of £39.99.

And a Epson camera printer for £99.00 instead of £159.00.

Also 3 years warantee for £21 instead of 38!

Thats a £107 saving, just from haggling - they werent reduced in a sale. I'm very happy! It also takes wonderfully crisp quality pics. Not surprising really when i compare it to my previous camer which was only 2.0 m pixels!

This is the thing I bought, my head was hurting after the 2 hours I spent trying to find one this morning!

I only had 3 shops in my town to choose from, as I am going away on Thursday it didnt leave me much time!

Great camera 5 Mil Megapixels is great you'll print nice beautiful pics. I have an Olympus (my third one I love em') but it's 3.3 megapixel for me because 99% of my pics are posted on the web (eBay Auctions) the pixels don't make much difference.

I think the greatest part of having a digital camera isn't the camera at all but being able to turn your computer into a virtual dark room, you can do amazing things and I think that's the real joy of it.

Your camera will come with a basic photo editing program that will allow you to resize, crop, change backgrounds, clean up pics and so forth..but getting a top notch Photo editing program is I think essential.

Adobe elements is rated very well and I used it for quite some time. But fell in love with Jasc Paint shop Pro 9 it has just as many tools as Adobe CS but that sells for $700 and Jasc sells for $129


It's easy to learn and very intuitive..you can down load a full version 30 day free trial to see if you like it - plus they have free tel. support if you need it . Jasc was recently bought by Corel but all the product names have stayed the same - here's the link to their site:
