  • I have cursor issues!!

If anybody could help me or tell me what is wrong, I would be highly appreciative. My problem: when I turn on my computer or when I have been working on it for a while, my cursor suddenly flies up to the top of the screen and I can't get it down! I can move it all I want to--sideways!! but it will not come down. Forcing me to ctrl+alt+delete to shut my comp. down or exit a program. If I leave it off for a few days, I can get a few hours out of it before it does it again forcing me to shut it off again. Anybody have any ideas why it does that or how to stop it? I have checked for viruses and such and no dice! I just don't know how to explain it! :anger

What sort of mouse are you using? cordless/wireless, trackball, optical, old mice with ball?

Also, are you on a laptop or a proper PC with a computer box?

Just a regular PC desktop and regular mouse.

Clean the mouse trackball or try a different one. Could also be a frayed wire inside.
