    Man I'm Stuck
I'm eating my fibre rich veggies & downing my Psyllium Husks but
darn'it. Now I'm trying Japanese Green Tea
I'm about ready to try a Bar loaded w/Sugar Alcohol or something
    Help!

It's good to do this-its a real reducation

Will start some induction meal idea threads, yes I know we have a recipe section but this will just give 1st timera some ideas & if we all post what we're doing there maybe we can all get some new meal ideas.

Hi. I'm new too, although I did Atkins before and lost 50 pounds. Shame on me, I gained it back. Now I'm doing it again, and struggling. I'm in deep purple ketosis...lol...but the weight isnt' rolling off like it did the first time. I am wondering what I have to do??? I know I'm being vry good about the carbs, not drinking enough water, but the first time I didn't drink enough water and the pounds just came off anyways. I'm exercising too. Going to keep at it and keep doing induction until the weight comes off. I don't care how long I have to do induction.

I am from mid-Wisconsin. It's only 1 F today...brrrrrrrrr. I have two young kids 10 and 7 and three grown kids. I try to be a Writer full time...lol. I love to write novels. Although I can't type a decent post, I do pretty well when I'm doing my novels. It's a different type of writing, I guess.

      Thanks for having this board

Just in case anyone was wanting ideas of what to eat.

Breakfast: 3 fried eggs in butter

Mid Morning Snack: One 1 oz mozzarella cheese stick with half a stalk of celery

Lunch: 1 hamburger patty home-made italian dressing (oilve oil, salt, pepper and italian spices) Topped with 2 tsp parmesan cheese, 10 green olives.

(sometimes I have my own gourmayo chipotle sauce (mix mayo with chipotle sauce) or justy plain mayo.

mid Afternoon: ther other half of celery stalk and 1 oz cheese stick

Dinner: Few pieces of collards made from the recipe posted last week. (the recipe rocks, but I made it with Kale, Collard and Spinach) Left over meat loaf & mayo for dipping (meat loaf ingredients: ground turkey, eggs, parmesan, green peppers, onions, cauliflower and broccoli finely chopped (1/8 cup veggies per serving), hotsauce & spices) Since the vegetables are spread thoough out two pans of meatloaf (12 servings) I will probably fry up a cup of mushrooms in oil. Yummy, I am super full now!

Late night snacking: one of the following maybe three times a week....mock danish (3 oz cream cheese, one egg and stevia).....whipped cream w/stevia....sour cream with 1/4c pork rinds. Sometimes I include cream cheese or sour cream with dinner instead.

I also drink 3/4 gallon of water and after the water is consumed 3/4 gallon of stevia geraric koolaid. I am in heaven.

Since I can see the "light at the end of my tunnel" for my first 2 weeks of induction,(3 days left) I am here for support! You guy rock, and are such insiprations for all of us "newbies". (actually I noticed I was upgraded to explorer! LOL
          [br]
FYI I do plan on doing induction for 5 weeks...but the critical 2 week point is approaching!
          [br]
AND I just had to say, skank as wonderful of a person you are (is that sucking up enough?) the DANDER states:
          [br]
Rule of Induction #4 ~ Eat absolutely no fruit, bread, pasta, grains, startchy veggies, or dairy products other than cheese, cream or butter. Do not eat nuts or seed in the first two weeks. Foods that combine protien & carbs such as chickpeas, kidney beans, and other legumes are not permitted at this time.
          [br]
So now that I have given you a hard time...I know you can do it! LOL

Hey thanks Erin!!! I needed that!!! Actually, I'm doing great and back to within one pound of where I was before Christmas. This WOE constantly amazes me.

Another reason I'm doing induction again for a while again is to encourage my husband. He wants to get back into his 34's and he knows this is the way to do it. It's easy to cook for both of us on this WOE.

I cooked a roast beef in the crock pot yesterday and we had it for supper along with a side salad and a small portion of rutabagas. I'm going to cook an eggplant tonight by coating it in parmesan cheese and frying it in olive oil. I haven't decided if we'll have the leftover roast or if I'll bake chicken. I'll probably steam some brocolli too. I LOVE steamed brocolli in butter sauce. I wanted some fresh turnip greens but they didn't have any at the commissary when I went. I'll have to go back out to the base and try again soon.

Anyway, -- thanks again for the encouragement. I appreciate 'ya, girl!

It's working I was down a pound today back to my lowest weight ever on this plan & man I didn't even eat half my lunch. Induction level eating really does kill the hunger drive.

I'm starting to feel like my mother - "Do as I say, not as I do" :speechle:

                Yesterday's breakfast: Codeine and coffee
Yesterday's lunch: Egg drop soup (bullion and eggs)
Yesterday's snack: Diet Coke and codeine
                Yesterday's dinner: Egg drop soup

                Today's breakfast: Coffee
Today's lunch: Pizza, broccoli and cheese
Today's dinner: Have no idea. Probably more soup..

However, I was able to get up this morning and do my Firm tape.

I usually try to stick pretty close to an induction regimen, so I'm in too.

                  Today:

B - 3 Jimmy Dean microwave sausage links (net carbs 0)
L - Rotisserie Chicken salad w/ blue cheese (net carbs probably around 5-6)
                  D - ??? we'll cross that bridge later

Drinks - 24 ounces of Diet Cheerwine, 33 ounces of fruit water. I'll probably find time to drink some actual water today.

                                Ok, back on track, finally

Really wanted a pizza last night, but grilled a T-Bone instead. Served with broccoli and cheese. It tasted better and then ....

Second day I've been 125, so I think I might have finally made goal
