woooooooooohooooooooooooooooo I am sooooooooooooo happy for you Chriss. That has to be the bestest feeling in the world to go in and get smaller clothes after so long wearing the old granny stuff. and anytime you just need a little push you tell me oh heck i will just keep pushin and soon you will just say hey knock it off it is my turn to push someone....

Actually I am sitting here with the biggest smile on my face. I am so thrilled for you. That is what we are all here for. Help and those special little pushes. : )

    Keep up the great work.....

      Thanks Christie,

Now here is another question. The other night I took a shower and shaved my legs. and went to bed

When I woke up I had lost 3 pounds, was it a woosh or was it just excess hair?

I didn't have to call the plumber to unclog the drain so I am hoping for a woosh.

The real question I have is what is TOM? I see it alot but can't figure it out

Thanks for being a great pusher

Geez !! You'd think that I could have figured that out all by my self. I feel like a bit of a dork, but I am a skinier dork than I was before.

          Thanks

well sometimes i would like to think that TOM Is a sweet looking guy that is just dying to go out with me but **sigh** it is a big one eyed Monster named Auntie Flow that comes and visits me every once in a while now that I have started atkins. And please do not feel stupid for asking. If you would not have asked you would not have found the answer. Only stupid question is the one not asked.

and ummmmmmmmmmmm as for the shaving of leggs. Unless you have gorilla hair i would have to say that it was the woosh fairy visiting you. And darn she was awful nice to you I would say. maybe you could leave her the hair you shaved off under your pillow so she can have it??????? lol.... Congrats on the loss hun keep it going : )

You guys are all so funny! I'm sitting here in the computer room at 6:30 a.m., trying not to laugh out loud because I want the kids to sleep in . . . You just made my day.

As for fitting into clothes, I'm making a costume to wear to the Renaissance Faire on July 19. When I started sewing it two weeks ago, I was worried because the pattern only went to a size 22 and I was between a 24 and 26. Well, I zipped that sucker up last night and I can actually breathe in it! I might even have to take it in through the bust area (NOT the area I wanted to get any smaller!).

Thanks for all of the inspiration. BTW, I never heard of putting on wet jeans to make them fit better, but I have used pliers to pull up the zipper before . . .

well baby you can take that pliers and use it for what it was really intended for. hmmmmmmmmm what were they intended for???? anyway put them away because you dont need them anymore : ) ...... I am happy this made your day.

You just brought a thought to this squishy head of mine. Remember the days we used to cry because we had to use pliers or cut up our fingers to pull up them little zipper tabs. Now we laugh about it. isnt that great???

Congrats on the dress. and hey if you want some of my bust baby you can have it. i will send it over night to you. because I WANT to lose it there and I know I aint gonna.

Good job. Keep up the great work! Here's my story...

I already lost 22 lbs and got ambitious and tried to squeeze into these size 7 jeans I used to wear with no problem 7 years ago.

Oh my god! Those jeans would not even budge past the middle of my big fat overgrown thigh.

I guess it would be easy to get depressed seeing as how I have another 60lbs to lose before getting back to my normal weight of 118-120.

You know, the weight thing just sneaked up on me. I guess while I was trying to take care of two children, it just sort of happened.

And although 22 lbs is quite an acheivement, I still wonder how this situation (becoming 200 lbs) could have ever happened. I really was somewhat weight conscious before (at 120).

Was it because I didn't have a scale or tape measure? Was I just totally zoning out for the last 3 years to have let this happen? Or was it just simple denial? I mean I did step on the scale once at 176 lbs. But somehow, I just didn't beleive the scale. (Since I didn't have any trouble losing weight or maintaining 120 before).

How could this happen? Was my brain on vacation for 3 years or what?

Anyway, finally I read from another person's post that what made them finally determined enough to lose weight was the mirror. They said, "Take a look in the mirror. Would you want to have sex with that person"

I did that and that's is the day I suddenly awoke from my state of denial.

Now, a measly 22lbs. But every pound I lose feels like gold in the bank to me.

                        Another 60lbs to go.

Hopefully, I won't slip into a state of denial again because it is really unhealthy to force the poor body to lug around this much extra weight.

I'm old enough to remember when we all wore jeans that were put on lying down(regardless of our size)...and you guys have reminded me that someday I will wear blue jeans again!!! (one of my goals.)

Does anyone else lie down to put on panty hose...then the kind of rooooollll up to stand up, hoping they don't run? I want to be able to put them on sitting down! It's coming...

Talk about inspiration! I havent tried smaller clothing yet..... all my pants are quite baggy..... I am still afraid to take that plunge just yet. (Although I did put on a cute little night gown last night that didn't fit a month ago! Annd Phew! It fit! )

                              Baby steps.

OHHHHHHHHHHHHHH Terry just take the plunge and buy some zipper pants. What can ya lose. if they do fit you will feel great and if they dont it will give you inspiration to fit into them.

I do have to update you on the pair of pants i was talking about in this thread. That zipper on them pants that I spoke of go up wayyyyyyyyyyyy too easily now. YUP YUP they are baggy and I LOVE IT YIPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE i am down another pants size and even fit into another pair of shorts that are even smaller and I thought i would never fit into again. I love them zipper pants how they suck that flab in even when they are a bit baggy.

I have to tell you the other day when i put on those smaller shorts i stood in front of the mirror and cried and said to myself.. DAMN GIRL i am proud of you. That was absolutely wonderful to say to myself.

Also today i had to go to a meeting at work for the new school year. Yes i am off work all summer : ) ..... anyway it felt great to have donuts sitting there in front of me during the whole meeting and I swear they stuck their tongues out at me because I would not take one and eat it. I think I looked at them longingly for about 10 seconds then it was like they were not even there. They ordered pizza for lunch and even asked me what i would like them to order and they ordered me a plain burger because they know I am on atkins. Gotta love it where i work huh????? Although i did sneak a piece of pizza and picked off the toppings... was delissssssssssssssssssssssssh.....

I am just here to say I have beat the zipper monster he will invade my life no longer YIPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
